In Puckdrop, the Huskies get hooked on a Spanish soap opera. The title of the show is never revealed, and the scnees which appear in Puckdrop are all unrelated.
Scribetuesday
I've been writing for pretty much as long as I can remember.
I got into ice hockey mostly by chance - I went to one game on a date, and I was instantly hooked. Considering that I'd always thought that sports just weren't my thing, it's taken over my life to an unexpected extent.
I go to a lot of live hockey games, and from the very start I thought that there were stories to tell about the kind of hockey teams I get to see, the kind of teams who don't have much of a budget or the best facilities, the kind of guys who don't make a living from hockey and in most cases never will.
British ice hockey is a very small world. Everybody seems to know everybody else, at least within a league, and so I make a point of keeping my real life separate from my writing. These stories aren't about real people or real teams, but anybody can recognise bits of themselves in fictional characters and I prefer not to let those lines get any more blurred.
